Taylor’s Toolbox is a necessary force within communities.  The nonprofit helps to relieve individuals and families from certain socio-economic barriers.  The organization will not eradicate all barriers, but instead teach community members how to better utilize tools to navigate life-skills and personal choices.

 

One main downfall of families and communities is the lack of skilled labor.  Without the critical source of money, it is hard for families to succeed.  Thus, Taylor’s Toolbox will help to decrease the national unemployment rate, which sits at over 4% as of 2018 (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018, p. 2).  Currently, on a national level, there are over 6.6 million people without work (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2018, p. 2).  As a first step, Taylor’s Toolbox will help to bridge the gap in unskilled laborers to help decrease the unemployment rate, while providing awareness, access, and training in areas such as personal finance, housing, career development, and health.
